Every now and then, something special happens in Philadelphia. Those who were there know exactly how special this moment in history was….Epic is an understatement. The power trio Monotonix out of Tel Aviv Israel, has been surfing crowds, riding drums, and engulfing themselves deep in the moment, music and audience for over 6 years. Their days touring the USA came to a climatic finish with the smashing of all their equipment in front of a frenzied crowd at the OX in Philadelphia on a Monday night. Pure joy…see for yourself. Strange Music 4 Strange Times
It’s highly recommended that you check this out. I’m not just saying that to get you here….I actually think that it will be good for your soul, and I love you people of Philadelphia, and I care about our city. We’re all in this together, and we need to show more compassion and respect for each other. Music helps to heal, and it brings people together, it’s universal and transcends prejudice. Winter can be a dark time…..light and warmth provide us with the nourishment and energy we need to progress and grow. During this time of the year after all the holidays are behind us, music, (live music in particular) can help to replace some of that warm energy that we need and miss so much.
